The Alabama-West Florida Conference

Huntingdon College is part of the Alabama-West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church and is closely related to the North Alabama Conference.
Led by Bishop Paul Lee Leeland, a member of the Huntingdon College Board of Trustees, the Alabama-West Florida Annual Conference is dedicated to its mission of making disciples for Jesus Christ. The Conference identifies four specific priorities in which disciple-making ministries are brought to life; they are:
- to develop lay and clergy leaders;
- to plant new congregations and faith communities;
- to expand mission opportunities; and
- to become a church for all God's children.
The Alabama-West Florida Conference has more than 149,000 members and approximately 700 churches served by eight district superintendents.
