Huntingdon hosts Symphonic Honor BandMontgomery, Ala.—More than 70 high school students
representing 30 Alabama high schools will be on the
Huntingdon College campus Friday and Saturday, March
30–31, as Huntingdon's Department of Music hosts a
Symphonic Honor Band. Saturday, March 31, the day will
conclude with a combined performance of all participants
at 4:30 p.m. in the Roland Student Center, Roland Arena.
The honor band experience is directed by Huntingdon's
director of bands, Eddy Williams, and assistant director,
Adam Murphy.
Huntingdon
College, grounded in the Judeo-Christian tradition of the
United Methodist Church, is committed to nurturing growth
in faith, wisdom, and service and to graduating
individuals prepared to succeed in a rapidly changing
world. Founded in 1854, Huntingdon is a coeducational
liberal arts college. The Department of Music offers
majors in music performance and music education with P–12
certification. A concentration in worship leadership is
