Sigma Tau Delta presents the annual Burns Supper

Burns Supper 2013You don't have to be an English major to appreciate good food, good music, and fun times—but in this case, it helps. The English honorary, Sigma Tau Delta, will sponsor the 2014 Burns Supper Thursday, January 23, at 6:30 p.m. in Houghton Library Atrium.  The annual event, created in celebration and remembrance of the poet Robert Burns, features bagpipes; food, including real haggis for those brave enough to try it, as well as other more edible treats; acoustical music played by your favorite professors and their friends; and the reading of some of Burns' works (Scottish brogue required). The event is open to anyone interested in a bit of cultural enlightenment, but reservations are required. To get a spot at a table, email Dr. Tom Perrin, assistant professor of English, at tperrin@hawks.huntingdon.edu right away. The dinner and fun are free!
