Huntingdon Marching Band Conducts First Honor Band
Montgomery, Ala.—The Huntingdon First Scarlet and Grey Marching Band is conducting its first Scarlet and Grey Honor Band this weekend, under the batons of Harold Blankenship, director of bands, and Jesse Madden, assistant director of bands, at Huntingdon College. The festival is open to high school band students in grade levels 9, 10, 11, and 12.
The schedule is as follows:
* Friday, April 24
o 1:00–1:30 p.m., Opening
o 1:30–5:00 p.m., Rehearsal (Roland Arena)
o 5:00–7:00 p.m., Dinner
o 7:00–9:00 p.m., Rehearsal (Roland Arena)
* Saturday, April 25
o 9:00–11:00 a.m., Rehearsal (Roland Arena)
o 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m., Lunch
o 1:00–4:00 p.m., Rehearsal (Roland Arena)
o 4:00–6:00 p.m., Dinner
o 6:30–7:00 p.m., Warm-up
o 7:00–8:00 p.m., Concert (Roland Arena, Delchamps Student Center)
Following the concert performance, students will receive honor band pins to add to their uniforms.
