Huntingdon College, grounded in the Judeo-Christian tradition of the United Methodist Church, is committed to nurturing growth in faith, wisdom, and service and to graduating individuals prepared to succeed in a rapidly changing world. Founded in 1854, Huntingdon is a coeducational liberal arts college. Huntingdon students benefit from the following: access to technology, with laptop computers provided for full-time day students, theirs to keep at graduation; travel-study, internships, and service learning opportunities; an environment of small classes and personal attention to students’ needs; levelized tuition—no tuition increases for four consecutive years of enrollment; and a broad-based liberal arts curriculum that sharpens communication and critical thinking skills. New for fall 2011 are men's lacrosse and women's track and field intercollegiate athletic teams, joining 12 other Huntingdon NCAA-III teams. More than 20 programs of study are offered. Placement rates into graduate and professional schools are, in most cases, more than twice the national averages.
