The re-introduction of the College's theater major and related programs and the renovation and opening of a theater production/performance space are central components of the College's Huntingdon Tomorrow Campaign, launched in May 2011. Theatrical activities, productions, performances, groups, and academic course work in theater or drama have been a vital part of Huntingdon College life since the College's founding in 1854. To house the theater programs and other public performances, Leo J. Drum Jr. Theater was constructed in the former Cloverdale Auditorium, with a grand opening February 24, 2013. The theater construction was funded as part of the Huntingdon Tomorrow Campaign through a generous gift by long-time neighbor and College friend Leo J. Drum Jr.
