DEMOREST, Ga.—The Huntingdon men’s tennis team evened its
Great South Athletic Conference record with a 6-3 victory over Piedmont
on Sunday afternoon.
With the win, the Hawks improved to 3-3 in league play and to 5-8 on
the season, while the Lions fell to 2-11 overall and 1-4 in conference.
In doubles, Huntingdon picked up a pair of wins, as Kent Hagan and
B.J. Foroughian won 8-3 at the No. 1 position and Larry Pritchett and
Ben Nobrega captured an 8-6 win at the No. 3 spot.
Singles winners for the Hawks were Foroughian at the No. 2 position,
Zane Smith at the No. 4 spot, Pritchett at fifth spot and Stacy Terry at
the No. 6 position.
Huntingdon will return to action on Friday, April 16, when it travels
to Jackson, Miss., to take on Rust College at noon.
