Men’s Golf Team Moves into a Tie for Third Place on Day Two

HAINES, Fla. --- The No. 2 ranked Huntingdon men’s golf team started the day in fifth place and worked their way up to a third place tie by the end of the second day after shooting a 288, giving the Hawks an overall score of 580. The Hawks trail first-place Greensboro College with a total score of 570, followed by Skidmore with a 575 total score.

Chase Blaich led the Hawks on day two shooting a four-under par, 68. Blaich moved up from being tied in 26th place to currently tied in 6th place heading into the final day.

Cates Culpepper shot an even par, 72, for the Hawks and is tied for eighth place. J.P. Kircher shot a four-over par, 76, on day two to fall into a 12th place tie.

Jamey Lester finished with an even par on day two and he is currently tied for 45th.  Alex Hauser finished the day in 67th place with a six-over par, 78.

Huntingdon will look to win the tournament in the final round on Tuesday, Sept. 14, when Alex Hauser will be the first Hawk to tee-off on the Championship course of the Southern Dunes Golf Course at 9:00 a.m. Follow the Huntingdon men’s golf team by going to www.golfstat.com.
