Ga. ---- Huntingdon College's men's soccer team fell behind 6-0,
before Dallas Thomas scored the only Hawks goal of the match. With
the loss, the Hawks season came to an end at 3-14-1, while the Scots
(12-5-1) advance to take on the winner of the Piedmont/LaGrange game
on Saturday for the league championship.
The
Scots took a 3-0 lead in the first half, from goals in the 7th,
25th, and 36th minute of the contest. Maryville
posted 20 shots to Huntingdon's 9 in the match on Friday.
In
the 74th minute, Huntingdon trailed 6-0 when Dallas Thomas
scored the only goal for the Hawks from a Nick Jax assist. The Scots
added one more goal in the 85th minute of the conference
tournament victory.
Dallas
Thomas recorded three shots on goal for the Hawks, while Stacy Terry
posted two shots in the loss.
Jordan
Osborne played in goal for a half stopping 3 shots on goal, while
Matt Russell recorded 1 save in the second half.
