GSAC Names First Tennis Award Winners Of 2011

LaGrange, GA -- The Great South Athletic Conference has named its first weekly award winners in men's and women's tennis with Huntingdon, Spelman, and Piedmont all placing student-athletes on the list.  B.J. Foroughian (Huntingdon) and Katie Scott (Huntingdon) grabbed men's and women's singles honors while Lauren Holloway (Spelman), Tyler Clark (Spelman), Moses Das (Piedmont), and Patrick Steck (Piedmont) took home doubles awards.

In men's singles, B.J. Foroughian is the GSAC Men's Singles Player of the Week having posted a 1-1 record on the week including a win against Berry at the #5 singles slot.  Huntingdon also claimed the Women's Singles Player of the Week as Katie Scott's 2-0 record at #1 singles gave her the weekly award.

In men's doubles, Piedmont's Moses Das and Patrick Steck are the GSAC Men's Doubles Players of the Week after posting a victory at #1 singles over Greensboro College.  In women's doubles action, a pair of Jaguars claimed the GSAC Women's Doubles Players of the Week honor as Spelman's Lauren Holloway and Tyler Clark went 1-1 at the #1 doubles slot.
