Renee & Kim

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., was founded in 1908 at Howard University and organized at Huntingdon College in the spring of 1999. AKA is the oldest Greek-letter organization established by African American college-trained women. The purpose of AKA is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve the social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of service to all mankind. The Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation (EAF) is dedicated to providing support for lifelong learning. Created in 1980, it is one of the largest charitable organizations administered by African American women and is a resource that helps young women and men make a difference in their lives and in the lives of others.
