How to Start a New Campus Organization

The Running Club 

If you are interested in starting a new campus organization, follow the steps listed below. Each step should be completed in its entirety in order for your organization to be considered for approved. 

Note: All Huntingdon College organizations must work within the College mission of faith, wisdom, and service.  

  1. Contact the Office of Student Involvement for the process of how to start a new campus organization. [Sara Beth Terry, Director of Student Activities, email: sbterry@huntingdon.edu, Hut #106, 833.4062]  
  2. Find a faculty/staff adviser who can commit to overseeing your organization. The adviser must sign the Faculty/Staff Adviser Agreement Form.  
  3. Complete the official Petition Form including petition with 50 Huntingdon student names & signatures  
  4. Complete the Student Organization Update Form.  
  5. Draft a Constitution for your organization stating your purpose and mission.  
  6. Give a presentation in front of the New Student Organization Approval Board. Contact the Director of Student Activities to set a time for this presentation.  
  7. After completing these steps, the Office of Student Involvement will review the organization materials and you will be notified if the organization will be approved as an active Huntingdon College organization.

Complete the Presidents’ Council Registration Form.   

Attend September & January President’s Council meetings – Date, Time, Locations TBA
