The Hawks’ Nest
The Hawks’ Nest, located in the Delchamps Student Center, is a recreation area for all residential and commuter students. The recreation area includes billiards, ping pong, foosball, and air hockey. Furniture has been purchased so that students can use the center to hang out/fellowship, watch TV, read magazines, and play a variety of boardgames. The old dance studio was renovated as a place where cardiovascular and weight equipment are available for use. The Hawks’ Nest is managed by students at Huntingdon College. The hours are as follows: Monday–Friday 7:30 a.m.–1 a.m.; Saturday 10:00 a.m.–1:00 a.m.; and Sunday 1:00–11:00 p.m.
These rooms will only be as good as the usage they get, so please take advantage of them. If individuals or organizations have ideas (and finances) on ways to enhance the rooms, please contact Rebecca Adams, Director of Student Involvement and Leadership.
