Graduate School Graduations

  • Dr. Josh Hines ‘17 completed a doctorate in pharmacy from Samford University.
  • Stafford Smith ‘22 completed a master’s degree in social work at Samford University.
  • Claire Tomberlin ‘21 completed a juris doctorate from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.

Retirements/Promotions/Honors/General News

  • Jason Reynolds ‘18, a nuclear materials engineer for NASA, is the lead author and presenter on a presentation being given at the American Nuclear Society (ANS) Nuclear and Emerging Technologies for Space (NETS) conference in Sante Fe, New Mexico, in May.
  • Amber Shirley ‘20 was awarded the American Osteopathic Association Advocacy Award.

In Memoriam

  • Paul Beckham Fields, Jr. ‘64 died on April 11, 2024, in Montgomery, Alabama. We extend condolences to his daughter, Carol Fields Loeb ‘90, and to his sister, Carol Fields Daron ‘61.
  • LaFaye A. Holley ‘65 died on April 3, 2024, in Montgomery, Alabama.
  • Betty Ferguson Carson ‘66 died on March 19, 2024, in Huntsville, Alabama.
  • John Wayne Cronier, Jr. ‘68 died on April 4, 2024, in Montgomery, Alabama.
  • Stephen L. Spencer ‘72 died on April 14, 2024, in Orange Beach, Alabama.
  • Marilyn McNeill Shewmake Johnson ‘78 died on March 27, 2024, in Foley, Alabama.
  • Randy Paul Foster died on April 13, 2024.  He was an icon of the Montgomery arts community and a former member of the Huntingdon College theater department.
