Huntingdon is proud to be a College of the Church! Since 1872, relationship with the United Methodist Church (and its antecedents) has been central to the life of Huntingdon College. Today, our student body represents a diverse collection of denominational identities, and the teaching of religion continues to be central to our mission.
The General Education Core Curriculum is designed to support Huntingdon College’s motto, which is “Enter to grow in wisdom; go forth to apply wisdom in service.” Through four courses in Religion (including Old Testament and New Testament) as well as classes in vocation and ethics, students grow in wisdom. Then, they apply wisdom in service as knowledgeable leaders in local congregations and through vocational ministry.
