Huntingdon College Announces Spring 2025 Music Events
Montgomery, AL – The Huntingdon College Bands and Huntingdon College Concert Choir have released their spring 2025 schedule of events. The concerts include the Scarlet and Grey Band, specialty ensembles, and the Concert Choir. Also in 2025, the Huntingdon Bands is hosting five events for high school band and auxiliary students.
Concert dates are listed below. The events are free and open to the public:
- Scarlet and Grey Winter Concert
- Thursday, February 20, 7:00 p.m. Band Rehearsal Hall, Roland Student Center
- Faculty Recital
- Monday, February 24, 7:00 p.m. Ligon Chapel, Flowers Hall
- Percussion Concert
- Monday, March 20, 7:00 p.m. Ligon Chapel, Flowers Hall
- Concert Choir Spring Performance
- Monday, April 14, 7:00 p.m. Ligon Chapel, Flowers Hall
- Scarlet and Grey Spring Concert
- Tuesday, April 15, 7:00 p.m. Band Rehearsal Hall, Roland Student Center

- Day of Drumline – Saturday, February 22
- Event is open to all high school aged students. The featured guest artist is Dr. Jason Baker, Professor of Percussion at Mississippi State University.
- Drum Major Academy – Saturday, March 1
- In partnership with Mr. Calvin Scott, this academy is for students interested in trying out for drum major at their high school.
- Brass Symposium – Saturday, March 8
- The Brass Symposium is a one-day workshop for middle and high school students who play trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, or tuba. No audition is required.
- Huntingdon College High School Honor Band – Thursday and Friday, March 13 -14
- This two-day program is open to all band students in grades 9-12. This year, the band will be under the direction of Huntingdon Director of Bands, Mr. Anthony Vittore.
- Auxiliary Day – Saturday, April 19
- This one-day program is open to dance line, majorette, and color guard high school students looking to improve individual and group skills.
