- Luke Ates ’17 has taken a new position with Our Savior’s Church in Lafayette, Louisiana.
- Hunter Booth ’17 was named the new head football coach at Pickens Academy in Carrollton, Alabama.
- Will Davis ’14 was selected as a D Magazine 2025 “Best Lawyer Under 40” in Business/Commercial Litigation. He is currently a Commercial Litigation Attorney for Dykema.
- Suzanna Wasserman Edwards ’05 started a new role as the Vice President of Marketing for Lowder New Homes in Montgomery, Alabama.
- Ashley Dubuque Gorum ’03 has accepted a new position with the March of Dimes as an Event Logistics Manager.
- Elizabeth Gowan ’02 was named the Outstanding Primary Advisor for 2024 by the Auburn University Provost’s Office for her work as an advisor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The recognition service is scheduled for February 2025.
- Kirk Johnson ’12 has accepted a new position as the head football coach at Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, Alabama.
- John Ed Mathison ’60 received the first ever Synergize Leadership Award from the Global Church Network in January 2025.
- Neal Posey ’13 accepted a new position as the Purdue University football offensive analyst for quarterbacks.
- John Racine ’85 was recently hired as Program Integration Lead at CACI International. He and his wife, Tonja Waddle Racine ’87, celebrated 40 years of marriage in September of 2024 and have been living life to the fullest with 9 grandchildren.
- Justala Simpson ’20 was ordained a Deacon in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church.
- Mary Hardin Thornton was sworn in as the Floyd County Clerk of Superior Court in Rome, Georgia.
In Memoriam
- Charles Eric Brannon ’74 passed away on December 26, 2024, in Montgomery, Alabama. We extend our sympathy to his family including his sister, Donna Brannon Coon ’64. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. William Tappan Brannon ’37 and Dr. Mary Jane Crump Brannon ’37, along with several siblings who also attended Huntingdon – William Tappan Brannon ’68 and Candace Brannon Ozerden ’68.
- Rose Marie Floyd ’72 passed away on January 9, 2025, in Huntsville, Alabama.
- Jimmy Darrell Hicks ’73 passed away on December 28, 2024, in Montgomery, Alabama.
- Lillian Bunn Mann ’69 passed away on January 1, 2025, in Phenix City, Alabama. We extend our sympathy to her son, Brian Mann ’95.
- Patty Sanders Milton ’59 passed away on December 30, 2024, in Gallatin, Tennessee.
