A message on Holy Week from President Anthony Leigh:
Hope. We all carry an innate desire for something better. Even in situations that we might call hopeless, hope exists because we can envision what a better outcome can look like. Hope for better health. Hope for a conflict to be resolved. Hope for a special relationship. Hope to overcome an addiction or to achieve forgiveness. Hope for financial stability. Hope for a better tomorrow than today.
Easter is Sunday, and for Christians, we cling to the hope found in Jesus Christ by his example of overcoming the grave. In our struggles, and in navigating the complexities of life, we celebrate that through Him, we can overcome hardships. Through Him, we find peace and joy in our circumstances. Through Him, we find hope for a better tomorrow than today.
My prayer for all of you in this Holy Week is that you will reclaim the hope that Christ has provided to you. Use this time to reflect on the gifts of grace and mercy that have been extended to you. I encourage you to also be an agent of hope for others. Providing a word or act of peace or joy to someone you know may awaken hope in a hopeful situation. May you always walk in the hope of a better tomorrow than today.
