Huntingdon Honors Students and Faculty at Annual Convocation

Montgomery, AL – On Friday, April 25, Huntingdon College held the annual Awards Convocation in Ligon Chapel. Below is a list of the Honor Societies and the inducted students announced at the ceremony.  

Alpha Beta

Alpha Beta is an honor society for upper-class students honoring excellence in scholarship and encouraging scholastic attainment. Spring 2025 inductees were:

Beta Beta Beta

Beta Beta Beta is a national biological honorary society, installed at Huntingdon College in 1946. The membership consists of third- and fourth-year students who have demonstrated active interest in biology and have taken at least three biology courses, earning an average grade of B or better. Spring 2025 inductees were:

Lambda Pi Eta

Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Honor Society, requires that a student earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 overall and 3.5 in the major; has earned at least 12 credit hours in communication studies courses; and ranks in the top 35 percent of his or her class. New inductees this year are:

Psi Chi

The national honor society for psychology, Psi Chi was founded in 1929 for the purposes of stimulating and maintaining excellence in scholarship and advancing the science of psychology. The following students were inducted this year:

Sigma Beta Delta

Sigma Beta Delta is an honor society for business, management, and administration, serving higher education institutions that offer undergraduate and graduate degrees in business, management, and administration. To be eligible for membership, a student must rank in the upper 20 percent of the junior or senior class and be invited to membership by faculty members. Huntingdon’s chapter was founded in 1994. Spring 2025 inductees were:
