Huntingdon Alumna Wins Highest AOII Honor

Montgomery, AL – Nevaeh McIntyre ’24 was named the 2024 AOII Stella George Stern Perry Award Recipient.

The Perry Award, given annually by Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity International, is presented to the one collegiate chapter president who, by outstanding service to her chapter, exceptional inspiration to its members, and recognition by administrators and /or fellow students at her college or university, typifies the Alpha Omicron Pi qualities valued by founding member, Stella George Stern Perry.  The Perry Award is the highest distinction given to a collegiate member of Alpha Omicron Pi.

Neveah was the president of the Huntingdon College Sigma Delta Chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi during the 2023 year.  She was nominated for the international award by the chapter for her service to not only AOII, but also to the campus as a member of the Huntingdon softball team, and the president of the Student Government Association and the Black Student Union. Neveah’s senior recognitions included induction into the Sigma Sigma Sigma Honor Society, recipient of the Exercise Science Award, the Dean Fran Taylor Award, and being crowned the 2023 Homecoming Queen.

Neveah is currently pursuing her doctorate degree in the Occupational Therapy program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
