Huntingdon Invites Nominations for Alumni Awards
Montgomery, Ala.—The Huntingdon College National Alumni Association has opened nominations for the 2023 Huntingdon Alumni Awards. This year the award process has been broadened to include nominations for Alumni Loyalty Awards, Outstanding Young Alumni Awards, and, new for 2023, Alumni Achievement Awards in six categories: Arts, Sciences, Education, Law and Public Service, Business, and Religion. The nomination deadline is March 1.
“During the many years the National Alumni Board has honored alumni, we have been privileged to lift the stories of so many outstanding men and women who have made their lives testimonials to the Huntingdon mission of faith, wisdom, and service,” said Dr. Anthony Leigh, senior vice president for student and institutional development and dean of students. “This year we are pleased to broaden the spectrum of nominations in order to tell more stories of the good that Huntingdon alumni are accomplishing in their communities and in the world, and of the strength and support our alumni continue to offer the Home We Love So Well.”
“It is a pleasure for me, as an alumna of Huntingdon College, to meet alumni who continue to make me proud to serve this great college and proud to honor our ‘Forever Hawks’ in return,” said Laura Marie Tyree Brelsford, Class of 2005, director of alumni engagement. “The addition of six categories for our Alumni Achievement Awards makes it possible to recognize even more alumni this year and to consider the many different ways Huntingdon people are accomplishing great things.”
Nominations are generated from an online form accessible from www.huntingdon.edu/alumni-awards. Anyone may nominate a Huntingdon alumna or alumnus for an award.
