The Next Miss Huntingdon is Crowned

Montgomery, AL – On Saturday, March 8, eleven Huntingdon women took to the Ligon Chapel stage to compete for the title of Miss Huntingdon. The contestants were evaluated by outside judges on interview, on-stage introduction, on-stage question, self-expression, poise, and presentation of their philanthropy. Linley McNew of Montgomery, Alabama was named Miss Huntingdon 2025. Emma Grace Samples of Gadsden, Alabama was named First Runner-Up, Mollie Furr of Andalusia, Alabama was named Second Runner-Up and Miss Philanthropic. Miss Philanthropic was named for the contestant that raised the most money for her philanthropy. Mollie’s philanthropy was promoting empowerment for female athletes and was awarded the over $9,000 raised. Tristin Robinson of Dothan, Alabama was named Fan Favorite by the crowd at the pageant and Blair Wyrosdick of Kinston, Alabama was honored by her fellow contestants as Miss Congeniality.

Miss Huntingdon 2025, Linley McNew is a sophomore from Montgomery, Alabama majoring in biochemistry pre-health. She is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, Freshman Leadership Initiative, an SGA senator, and on the Presidential Scholars Pre-Health Team. Her philanthropy for her reign is Service Dogs of Alabama.

First Runner-Up, Emma Grace Samples is a junior from Gadsden, Alabama majoring in secondary education with history and social sciences. She is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, a Huntingdon Cheerleader, and a member of Omicron Delta Kappa honor society. Her philanthropy was The Children’s First Foundation of Montgomery.

Second Runner-Up and Miss Philanthropic, Mollie Furr is a sophomore from Andalusia, Alabama majoring in Biochemistry pre-health. She is a member of Chi Omega sorority and on the Huntingdon Softball Team. Her philanthropy was promoting empowerment for female athletes.

Fan Favorite, Tristin Robinson is a sophomore from Dothan, Alabama majoring in exercise science. She is a member of the Huntingdon Women’s Wrestling Team, SAAC, Chi Omega sorority, and Order of Omega honor society. Her philanthropy was The Autism Foundation.

Miss Congeniality, Blair Wyrosdick is a junior from Kinston, Alabama majoring in cell biology pre-health and psychology. She is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, in the Order of Omega, Phi Eta Sigma, and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies, an SGA Senator, student recruiter, and a Huntingdon Cheerleader. Her philanthropy was the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Eleven women total competed for the title including the following outstanding contestants:

Brittani Adkins is a freshman from Odenville, Alabama majoring in elementary education – collaborative special education. She is a member of Chi Omega sorority, Kingswood leadership team, and participates in Campus Ministries. Her philanthropy was Night to Shine from the Tim Tebow Foundation.

Abigail Brooks is a freshman from Valley, Alabama majoring in biology. She is a member of the Presidential Sholars Peer Mentor Team and the Environmental and Sustainability Club. Her philanthropy was Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Jasmine Cullen is a freshman from Prattville, Alabama majoring in business administration. She is a member of the Freshman Leadership Initiative and the Huntingdon Bands. Her philanthropy was the Autauga County Humane Society.

Katie Henderson is a freshman from Enterprise, Alabama majoring in biochemistry pre-health. She is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and on the Presidential Scholars Pre-Health Team. She is also a member of the National ASL Honor Society. Her philanthropy was promoting the American Sign Language and deaf community.

Preslie Knox is a sophomore from Prattville, Alabama majoring in exercise science pre-athletic training. She is a Presidential Scholar, a member of Phi Mu sorority, and a student recruiter. Her philanthropy was Autism Speaks.

Mekiah Mosely is a junior from Munford, Alabama majoring in elementary education – collaborative special education. She is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, SGA, the CCV Student Council, a Huntingdon Cheerleader, and an Orientation Leader. She was also inducted into Phi Eta Sigma honor society.  Mekiah’s philanthropy was the American Liver Foundation.

The Miss Huntingdon Pageant is an annual event through the Office of Student Development. Scholarships are awarded to Miss Huntingdon, First Runner-Up, and Second Runner-Up. The pageant staff director was Chris Mayer, student directors were Ariel Dixon, Miss Huntingdon 2023 and Kaylee Russell, Miss Huntingdon 2024. Linley McNew was crowned by Kaylee Russell, Miss Huntingdon 2024. The Masters of Ceremonies for the pageant were Huntingdon students; Tyler Bentheimer, Richie Hicks, and Callie Shiver.
